Tutoring in Chinese
Providing tutorials and instruction to students in the areas of:
• Formal university-level English composition, comprehension, and rhetoric.
• English grammar, vocabulary, and everyday conversational English.
• Cantonese Chinese or Mandarin Chinese with expertise in instructing non-native Chinese speakers.
Tutoring in English
• Providing both simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services for clients from English to Cantonese and Cantonese to English.
• Judicial interpretation for various types of criminal/civil cases and services including traffic violations, witness testimony, arraignments, arbitration, pleas and etc.
• Medical interpretation including obtaining patients' medical histories, explaining medical procedures, helping patients communicate with doctors and nurses and providing help in relaying patients questions to healthcare professionals.
• Assisting clients in understanding and completing various types of documents and paperwork including court forms, medical forms, program eligibility forms, applications for United States citizenship, etc.
• Clear enunciation and pronunciation.
• Adherence to the Code of Ethics for Interpreters.
• TOEFL and/or IELTS examination preparation.
